Fathers Day Poem

Happy Fathers Day

My Father works
All night all day,
He puts us to sleep
and says” it’s okay.”

My father is special
In all sorts of ways.
I love him so much
And thats all that I say.

My father is Honest,
Strong and kind
When I talk back to him
He doesn’t really mind.

He is a very
Hardworking man
And he never takes a break
Because he always has a plan.

He is my dad
And we have a strong bond
He’d talk to me politely
And I would respond.

Whenever I’m alone
Or feeling scared
He’d come into my room
To show how much he cares.

I love my dad
With all my heart
And I will miss him
If we are apart.

Sorry dad,
For all the mean things
But you should know
That you are my only king.

He is so funny
And he tells funny jokes
But when he leaves
He says” See you later folks.”

Even though
He is not at home
I would message him
On Google Chrome.

I just want him to know, that I love him dearly.
I love him so much, because he’s my daddy.

Billionare

This interesting game has taught me what prime numbers are and other magnificent things.  This game is kind of easy because they always give the same question and it’s always going to be the same answer.

The Beach

The Beach

It was just an ordinary day at home and all of us were very  bored.  Then Christopher, Casey and Asiana decided to go to the beach. So they packed up and took off.  As they were going to the beach, they felt really excited because they had never been to the beach ever in their lives.   Finally, they arrived to the sandy beach.  Christopher, Casey and Asiana felt comfortable, different and they felt the soft breeze crashing into their faces.  They heard seagulls chirping and crashes of waves.  They saw a path that led to a big and brown house.  The 3 of them even saw an island on the other side of the beach.

As they were relaxing, Casey heard something coming closer to the shore.  He told his brother and sister. They were all terrified because there was a tsunami coming. It was just about to hit the 3 terrified brothers when CRASH! It landed on the soft sand. They tried to overrun the tsunami but it was just too fast for them. They almost drowned in the salty sea water.  Asiana said to her other brothers that they shouldn't have went to the beach.

Just when Casey said that, all of the brothers and Asiana remembered how great they were at swimming when they were at school.  So they swam for their lives and they made it back to shore. They ran all the way home. Then  the tsunami stopped and the tide was out. The 2 brothers and 1 sister said that they would never go back to the beach in their lives.

Love for my mum

Without you

Mum, without you,
There would be no me

Your love, your attention, your guidance
Has made me who I am.

Without you I would be lost, wondering aimlessly.
                Without direction or purpose.

                 You showed me the way
To serve, to accomplish, to persevere.

Without you, there would be an empty space.

I could never fill, no matter how much I tried.

                Instead, because of you,
I have joy, contentment, satisfaction and peace.

               Thank you mum.
I will always love you .

Being Together

When We’re Together
Together is walking to bright summer sunshine,
with happy songs filling your head,
it’s singing the words at the top of your voice ,
as you bounce up and down on your bed.

Being together is running down hillsides,
so fast that you almost can’t stop!
Together is landing in one giant heap,
and catching your breath as you flop.

Together’s the fun that you have when it’s snowing,
the sledges you can’t wait to ride,
it’s giggling while trying to hold up each other,
whenever you slip and slide!

Being together is having a secret,
you share with your very best friend,
it’s talking, listening and laughing together,
and knowing your friendship won’t end.

Time spent together is getting all messy,
it’s squidgy mud pies that you pat,
it’s squashing and squelching,
and stamping them down,
and hearing the sound as they splat.

Together is riding on daddy’s strong shoulders,
and feeling as tall as a tree,
it’s exploring and having adventures,
and sharing new things that you see.

Together is kicking through leaves,
crisp and crunchy,
and watching them swirl through the air,
it’s leaping in drifts that come up to your knees,
and showering the leaves everywhere.

Being together is fireside cuddles,
it’s magical stories we share,
it’s the rain pitter pat on the window,
squish squashed in our favorite chair.

Together is searching in seaweedy rock pools,
the catching a crab in your hand,
it’s squealing as cold waves rush over your feet,
and wiggling your toes in the sand.

Sometimes, together is just being quiet,
like gazing at clouds in the sky,
it’s seeing the shapes and the patterns they make,
and counting them as they float by.

Together is pillow fights all around your bedroom,
and giggling and running to hide,
it’s white fluffy feathers that fly through the air so it looks like it’s snowing inside.

Time spent together is big hugs at bedtime,
and being tucked in snug and tight,
it’s sweet dreams and moonbeams,
and drowsy eyes closing,
and sleeping safe all through the night.

Narrative story

The Temple that Collapse
Orientation
My name is Atum. I’ve never been to Egypt before. All the information that I’ve heard about Egypt made me satisfied to go Egypt, and see it for myself.  I want to go to Egypt but my grumpy, old mother says “you cannot go to Egypt unless you’re 18 or over.  It’s against the law.”  “Hooray,” that day finally came.  I packed up as quick as lightning.  I rushed as fast as possible. I was very impatient.  I left the house very untidy.
Complication
The Egyptians thought of Egypt being divided into two lands. They named it ‘Red land’ and ‘Black land.’ Red land was the barren desert. As for the black land, it was the fertile land on the banks.  So I went to the barren desert first.  I saw pyramids, sphinxes and so many camels .  I saw the temple last.  As I walked in, a random Egyptian wanted to show me  around the temple.  He showed me where the Pharaoh is.  The last thing the Egyptian showed me was a secret door he’d go through just in case there was an emergency.  I stayed in the temple for a very long time and I forgot all about the secret door.  The temple shook.  It was going to collapse.  I panicked.  I did not know what to do.
Resolution
Just then, it came to me, I remembered about the secret door the Egyptian showed me when I marched inside the temple.  “It could lead us to freedom.”  I suggested.  I got everyones attention and lead them to the door.  They sprinted out safely.  We all watched  as the temple collapsed.  It was terrible.  I was exceedingly high-spirited that I had saved so many lives.  But when the temple fell,  all the Egyptians were weeping.  When it stopped, it was all in small pieces.  Everyone took 1 piece of the temple so they could remember the day it collapsed.  So they could tell their siblings.  But happily, the Egyptians built another temple and they found another Pharaoh.
Conclusion
The Egyptians begged me to be their god for their savior.  I sat on my throne and I was their god.  I cared for all of the Egyptians. Whenever there was trouble,  I would help.  But for those people who I could not save, were put in coffins and I named them mummies.  I put the ordinary people in an ordinary cardboard boxes and special people in special boxes.

Report Writng

Information report about seasons

WALT: use information we have learned about seasons to write an information report.

Opening statement:
Who knows what causes seasons?  Seasons are caused by the tilt of the Earth on its axis. The axis is an imaginary line passing through the North and South Poles. Who knows what is the first Season throughout the whole year?    The first Season that comes first every year is Summer.

Summer
Summer starts from December and ends in February.  In Summer,  we have longer days and shorter nights.  Summer weather can vary, but if we are lucky, December, January and February will bring some warm sunny days.   Also, the season Summer is a time that all people look forward to.  When it comes to Summer, do not look straight up at the Sun.  It could damage your eyes.  Even if you’re wearing sun-glasses.

Autumn
Did you know that people also called Autumn by another name?  People called Autumn by the name of Fall!.  WOW.  Autumn is only in March, April and of course May.  In Autumn,  days become shorter.  During Fall,  leaves drop of the tree and the leaves float into the air.  Additionally, Autumn can bring strong winds and a lot of really hard rain.  Autumn is full of change.  Although it is nice and warm during the daytime,  it can be extremely freezing cold as it gets to night.

Winter
During Winter,  it is often very cold.  Winter is up until the first of June to the end of August.  In Winter, it is also very short.  If people are lucky, it also snows.  However,  Winter does differ to other people all around the world.  Often we wake up in the morning to a frost and ice.  During the Winter months, the current year ends and a happy new year starts.  Winter also causes people to be sick.

Spring
It is easy to know when Spring is arriving, the sun raises in the earlier hours of the morning and sets later on in the afternoon.  The days get slightly warmer.  Tulips and daffodils start to appear from under ground.  Spring is only in September, October and obviously, November.  At that time,  birds start building their nests and and farmers deliver their new-born lambs. Also, in Spring, it might be cold enough to snow.

Additional Information
Many people like and dislike seasons for a reason.  Maybe because they like it or maybe not. Who knows?  Its there choice.

Conclusion

Seasons are good and bad. Seasons are also very enjoyable. I've learnt so many things on my

Healthy Skin

Taking Care Of our Skin
What Is Skin?
Skin is a thin layer of tissue forming a natural outer covering of the body of a person or animal.  Skin is the soft outer covering of vertebrates.  In mammals, the skin is the largest organ of the body.  Skin also varies from location to location an organism.  Skin located under the eyes and around the eyelids are the thinnest skin in the body.  Skin is very thick and hard on animals.  Skin is not a strong barrier to passage of chemicals.  Some mammals have some hair on their skin, even marine mammals which appear to be hairless.  Severely damaged skin may heal by scar tissues.  Skin of a different nature exists in amphibians, reptiles, and birds.  Without skin, all of the things in the inside of our bodies, would literally just fall out.
Why Is Skin Important?
Skin is important because it keeps the germs away.  It also keeps the things inside human bodies, inside the human body.  Skin is very important to the human body because it protects everything in the inside of our body.  Skin protects all of our veins, blood vessels, arteries, and tissue.  Skin is also a waterproof covering that keeps you cool in the hot, and moderates your temperature.  The three layers of the skin are the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous layer.   It's important to protect your skin from the sun; so you do not get skin cancer.  If you protect your skin, you will have less wrinkles and less freckles and beauty marks.  If the functions of the skin are not performed properly, it adversely affects the functioning of lungs, heart, stomach, liver and nervous systems in general.

How Do We Take Care Of Our Skin?
In order to take care of and respect your skin, first and foremost make sure to choose products specially designed for your skin type. Your skin is a living organ that constantly regenerates itself.  If your skin has a strong tendency toward dehydration, lacks oil, and has few breakouts if any at all, it is considered dry.  In more extreme cases, dry skin lacks and can be extremely sensitive to the sun, wind, and cold temperatures.  Wash your face once a day with a rich, creamy cleanser and warm water.  Some parts of your face ( eye contour, lips, etc ) have particularly fine, fragile skin.  Taking care of sensitive skin begins with make-up removal.  Sometimes, it may seem like your skin is impossible to manage, especially when you wake up and find a huge zit on your nose or a cold sore at the corner of your mouth.

What Happens If We Don’t Take Care Of Our Skin?
What's the deal with washing our faces? Mothers seem to think it's important, but children (and some adults) don't really see what the big deal is.   As it turns out, our mothers' opinions on this matter are supported by doctors and researchers who unanimously agree that we should, in fact, wash our faces daily.   Not only that, but some of our mothers were actually sugar-coating the situation, because not only should we wash our faces daily, we should do it twice: once in the morning and again in the evening.  That seems like a lot of work, so why should we do it?  Because the world is gross and dirty. Your own skin is covered in a layer of dead skin cells, bacteria, pollutants, viruses and dirt.  Washing our faces not only gets rid of various antigens (tiny unwanted foreign invaders), it also provides our skin much-needed hydration.  If you don't look after your skin you won’t see a dramatic change now.  But when you're older you'll see the damage caused by not taking care of your skin.   Light can cause skin disease.  Not keeping skin hydrated can cause dryness.  Not washing skin cause spots, etc.
It is so important to take care of our skin.  Take care of your skin.
