Eager elders eez dropped
Tremendous tornadoes tackled fields

Addiction Poem

WALT: write a poem/rap.

Addiction, addiction, addiction, addiction.
It plays with your mind and makes it look fiction (yaaaaaaaa)
Inhaling glue, gas or petrol
Makes you go grumpy to the point you go mental (yaaaaaaa)
Put it down, it’s way too risky,
Don’t take your problems out on drinking some whiskey (yaaaaaaa)

Memories

me nd mum HNY again.jpg

When we’re together, it’s like walking to the bright summer sunshine, with happy songs filling our heads and singing the words at the top of our lungs, as we bounce up and down on your bed. Being together is like having a secret,  you share with me and dad, it’s talking, listening and laughing together, and knowing that everyone is glad.

Mum, when we’re together, it’s like kicking through leaves, crisp and crunchy, and watching them swirl through the air, it’s leaping in drifts that come up to your knees, and showering the leaves everywhere. I love when you hold me with your fireside cuddles, it’s magical stories we share.

Sometimes, together is just being quiet, like gazing at clouds in the sky, it’s seeing the shapes and the patterns they make, and counting them as they float by. Together is pillow fights all around your bedroom, and giggling and running to hide, it’s white fluffy feathers that fly through the air so it looks like it’s snowing inside.

Time spent together is big hugs at bedtime, and being tucked in snug and tight, it’s sweet dreams and moonbeams, and drowsy eyes closing, and sleeping safe all through the night.

Mum, without you, there would be no me. Your love, your attention, your guidance, has made me who I am. Without you I would be lost, wandering aimlessly, without direction or purpose. You showed me the way to serve, to accomplish, to persevere. Without you, there would be an empty space. I could never fill, no matter how much I tried.  Instead, because of you,  I have joy, contentment, satisfaction and peace.

A poem - teeth

Screenshot 2014-05-14 at 2.29.42 PM.png
The nerves in my teeth
Sends messages to my brain
Like when my tooth comes out
I can feel a little pain.

The gum protects my teeth
And my jaw bone
When I took a tooth out
Another had grown.

The bone provides a socket
For the root of the tooth
I am not lying
I’m surely telling the truth.

The root holds the teeth
Inside my jaw
Then I went to the bank
and asked for a withdraw.

The enamel is the part
that everyone sees daily
I felt like playing an instrument
So I chose the ukulele.

Term 4 First day of school - Poem

First day of school - Poem

I woke up tired
Early in the morning
As I got up
I started yawning.

It’s the first day of school
My mother yelled
But then I said
I wish I was expelled.

So I got up
And started getting ready
I went into my bag
And it smelt deadly.

Here I am
Walking over to school
Then a school student said that
This school is cool.

I didn’t agree
because I was still tired
Then I heard
That a teacher retired.

Standing in class
With a hole in my tights
I walked outside
And there were many sites.

It was boring
And I was feeling sleepy
Then I had a dream
And it was creepy.

Learning time
Everybody said “ Hooray!.”
I was the only one
Who didn’t think it was okay.

Finally
It’s morning tea
As I stood outside
I was filled with glee.

Home time
Yay! Hooray for me
Home is what I like
Don’t you see.

Being Together

When We’re Together
Together is walking to bright summer sunshine,
with happy songs filling your head,
it’s singing the words at the top of your voice ,
as you bounce up and down on your bed.

Being together is running down hillsides,
so fast that you almost can’t stop!
Together is landing in one giant heap,
and catching your breath as you flop.

Together’s the fun that you have when it’s snowing,
the sledges you can’t wait to ride,
it’s giggling while trying to hold up each other,
whenever you slip and slide!

Being together is having a secret,
you share with your very best friend,
it’s talking, listening and laughing together,
and knowing your friendship won’t end.

Time spent together is getting all messy,
it’s squidgy mud pies that you pat,
it’s squashing and squelching,
and stamping them down,
and hearing the sound as they splat.

Together is riding on daddy’s strong shoulders,
and feeling as tall as a tree,
it’s exploring and having adventures,
and sharing new things that you see.

Together is kicking through leaves,
crisp and crunchy,
and watching them swirl through the air,
it’s leaping in drifts that come up to your knees,
and showering the leaves everywhere.

Being together is fireside cuddles,
it’s magical stories we share,
it’s the rain pitter pat on the window,
squish squashed in our favorite chair.

Together is searching in seaweedy rock pools,
the catching a crab in your hand,
it’s squealing as cold waves rush over your feet,
and wiggling your toes in the sand.

Sometimes, together is just being quiet,
like gazing at clouds in the sky,
it’s seeing the shapes and the patterns they make,
and counting them as they float by.

Together is pillow fights all around your bedroom,
and giggling and running to hide,
it’s white fluffy feathers that fly through the air so it looks like it’s snowing inside.

Time spent together is big hugs at bedtime,
and being tucked in snug and tight,
it’s sweet dreams and moonbeams,
and drowsy eyes closing,
and sleeping safe all through the night.

My Poem

All about me poem

Hi my name is Andrea Shapleski
I am nine years old
When it is winter
I get really cold.

Some people call me Andy
and thats really nice
we were playing a game
that included a dice.

I saw a friend
a very good friend
and our friendship
will never end.

I have a mother
that loves me a lot
I wish there was someone
who could ride a yot

I am short
and I have short hair
some people call me a boy
but I don't really care.

I love doing art
I love it alot
when I watched t.v
I heard a gunshot.

At Glen Innes School
I have a great teacher
she told us about
our beautiful future.

I love eating sandwiches
and I love having fun
I love eating fruits

and eating a bun.
