My Poem

All about me poem

Hi my name is Andrea Shapleski
I am nine years old
When it is winter
I get really cold.

Some people call me Andy
and thats really nice
we were playing a game
that included a dice.

I saw a friend
a very good friend
and our friendship
will never end.

I have a mother
that loves me a lot
I wish there was someone
who could ride a yot

I am short
and I have short hair
some people call me a boy
but I don't really care.

I love doing art
I love it alot
when I watched t.v
I heard a gunshot.

At Glen Innes School
I have a great teacher
she told us about
our beautiful future.

I love eating sandwiches
and I love having fun
I love eating fruits

and eating a bun.

Jump Rope for Heart

WALT: write an article about Jump Rope for heart to be published on the local newspaper.
Most popular Event for Glen Innes School Children.
By:
Andrea Shapleski

On the 27 of June at Glen Innes Shopping Centre, Glen Innes students were so excited.  They were having the most popular event they always looking forward for, every year and that is Jump Rope for heart. Room 1 was the first to perform.  They performed a breathtaking routine.  They showed off all their fantastic skipping skills, room 12 had a popular song called Gentlemen and the children sang along. The other classes followed afterwards and room 11 perform last. There were all sorts of wonderful songs used by the classes for their routines.

The performances were extremely outstanding. There was a good turnout from the parents and also the community of Glen Innes.  Both parents and children were having fun.  At the end the parents were given the chance to skip with their parents and the parent who skip the longest got a milkshake voucher from one of the shop outlet in the centre.  An energetic mother was the winner and her children were very proud of her.

The principal, Mr. Hendricks said, “there will be another day like this next year.”
